Itinerary
Day 1. San José
Reception at Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Lodging.
Day 2. San José - La Fortuna, Arenal
Today we will have the opportunity to visit the Majestic Arenal Volcano. To reach this natural wonder, we head north, making a brief stop in the famous town of Sarchí, internationally renowned for its skilled artisans, earning it the title "The Cradle of Costa Rican Handicrafts.
Day 3. San José– City Tour
At noon, we will start the City Tour, which showcases Costa Rica's culture and history through visits to museums and historical sites in San José.
Day 4. San José – Poás Volcano – La Paz Waterfall
Today's tour takes the Pan-American Highway to Alajuela. On the ascent to the volcano, we will stop for a brief explanation about our golden grain, coffee, and continue through fern, flower, and strawberry farms. We will discover the La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a natural park where we will walk through real trails to the butterfly and bird observatories, hummingbird garden, aviary, old house, frog pond, serpentarium, aviary, monkeys, felines, and a typical house and three waterfall viewpoints.
Day 5. San José – The Pacific
This morning we head to the Central Pacific coast. On the way, we will stop in Tárcoles for a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast and observe crocodiles in the Tárcoles River from a safe distance. We then continue our excursion to the resort, an exuberant beach hotel surrounded by 750 acres of tropical jungle with a white sand beach and the crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Day 6. San José
Breakfast. Free day to relax at the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 7. San José – Orosí Valley and Lankester Gardens
Breakfast. After visiting the Irazu Volcano we will visit the Basilica of Los Angeles in the city of Cartago, we move to the Lankester Gardens, a research center of the University of Costa Rica protecting over 800 species of orchids and bromeliads, among many other plants.
Day 8. San José – Juan Santamaría Airport
Breakfast and transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home! Please note that in Costa Rica, airlines require you to arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight.
